Barn Hunt
Barn Hunt is a dog sport where dogs use their natural instincts to find rats hidden in tubes among hay bales. Dogs must climb hay bales or tunnel through them to locate the rats, which are safely housed in aerated PVC tubes. The sport tests a dog's agility, surefootedness, and problem-solving skills, and it is open to all breeds and mixes, including older dogs and those with disabilities.

Scent Work
Scent work is an inclusive sport based on the same principles used by professional detection dogs (like those trained to find drugs, explosives, or missing people), but it’s designed for any dog, from puppies to seniors, from high-drive working breeds to couch-loving companions.
In scent work, dogs learn to identify and locate specific target odors (like birch) hidden in various environments, indoors or outdoors. They then communicate their “find” to their handler. It provides mental enrichment, builds confidence, and is a sport where the dog gets to lead. It's important to find a good trainer so you don't contaminate your learning environment.
