About Your Instructor: Suzi Schmitz brings a wealth of experience and specialized knowledge to the canine world. Certified by the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, she has worked in veterinary clinics for over a decade, honing her skills and understanding of animal health. Suzi has dedicated more than 25 years to dog training, emphasizing positive reinforcement techniques that enhance the human-animal bond. Since 1997, she has been an avid agility competitor and has qualified for the AKC National Agility Championship (NAC) from 2014 to 2021 with multiple dogs. In 2011, Suzi expanded her expertise to become a judge for AKC and UKI agility competitions. She is also certified in canine massage, having completed her training with Integrated Touch Therapy, which adds a therapeutic dimension to her broad skill set in canine care and training.
